Creative and Cool Stuff on the Web: Issue Two
A month ago, I created the first in what I hope will grow into a series of regular posts highlighting fun sites and creative finds from across the wide world of the Internet today.
The effort stems from my nostalgia for the good ol’ days of the Internet, when it opened for the first time to average folks and people started to populate corners with blogs and other types of creative projects unfettered from purely business interests or the demands of social media. (For my article on how search engines and social media have reshaped the web, click here.)
I’ll keep up the effort as long as I can find creative stuff—which means I’ll need help and suggestions from my readers. If you find something fun on the web, send it my way, will ya?
Without further explanation, find below my bulleted list of creative and cool stuff discovered on the web this month:
The simply named Radiooooo took me a minute to figure out, but the discovery of new music and flourishing creativity across the world inspired me and made the effort worthwhile.
Don’t miss The Wish. Space; the creativity will astound and mesmerize you. The site has beauty and peace and a bit of inspiration, while it connects you a bit with the universe of humans and their dreams and aspirations. Scroll all the way down the main page and don’t forget to share your wish and watch what comes next.
And The Pudding continues to delight me with its data-driven visual essays. Its essay on GIFs provides much-needed brain candy and The Evolution of the American Census reporting provides much-needed education.
Have you found anything fun on the web this month (that didn’t exist on social media alone)? I need suggestions for the month ahead! Send them my way via my contact form.
