Problem Solving and Triathlons

Arnaud has two research passions, each of which he spends several hours per week exploring: complex problem solving and triathlons.

While the latter topic makes sense—Arnaud serves as a professor of strategy at a business school, after all—we can’t chalk up the sheer amount of time spent studying triathlon tips, tricks, and tidbits to job requirements. (Yes, he does triathlons, too. Yet he doesn’t just do them. He actively studies them.)

In my latest Ambush Arnaud video, I ask him to explain these areas of focus—and to share whether he’s found any common ground between these two very disparate interests. (And unless you think I exaggerate the time he spends on triathlons, I got him to confirm the time requirements on video. Proof.)

Leslie once again ambushes Arnaud to ask a Very Important Question: What's the common ground between his interest in complex problem solving and his interest in triathlons?
