The Wedding of Leslie and Arnaud

Arnaud and I met online in early 2017. Everyone who followed my previous site, through which I detailed some of my adventures in singlehood, will know that I spent a long time looking for him. And then, just as everyone told me it would happen—in other words, when I least expected it—he appeared.
Arnaud grew up just outside of Paris, in France, and I grew up in Houston, Texas. Arnaud’s family comes from the Normandy region of France; the beauty of Normandy and his family’s long ties to it compelled us to marry there with close friends and family. We wed on July 25, 2018.
The Welcome Dinner
We welcomed our wedding guests for dinner the night before the wedding at a Michelin-star restaurant called Le Pave d’Auge in the picturesque Norman town of Beuvron-en-Auge.
The Wedding
The evening wedding and reception took place at Les Jardins du Pays d’Auge in Cambremer, France.
The Brunch
Several guests stayed in The Grand Hotel in Cabourg, France, made famous by Marcel Proust (yes, he of the madeleines). The morning after the wedding, the hotel served us a fabulous brunch.
